About Us:
Athletic Republic is a national sports performance company. The Athletic Republic District Heights offers the only volleyball ball team in the country to represent its brand. DCPG Sports is a non-profit organization that has offered a volleyball club program for 8 years since 2010. Spike It serves as the partner with Athletic Republic to provide volleyball training and manage the operations of the AR Stars Volleyball Club.
The goal of the ARVBC is to provide opportunities for participants to compete and gain exposure at high level regional and national tournaments competition, high energy, intensive practices and sports performance. The program provides the services necessary for college admissions and recruitment.
Teams:
We will be fielding 2-3 teams in the 14-18 age groups. Each team will have a max of 12 and a minimum of 9 competitive players.

Tryout Process
1.
Complete the USAV member registration through CHRVA (Chesapeake Region Volleyball Association).
- cHRVA RECOMMENDS THAT PLAYERS REGISTER WITH $20 lIMITED MEMBERSHIP, JUNIOR TRYOUT -10 DAY REGISTRATION. rEGISTRATION MUST BE IN THE PARTICIPANTS NAME
- oNCE THE PLAYER IS CHOSEN FOR A TEAM, IT IS NECESSARY TO GO BACK INTO YOUR usav ACCOUNT TO UPDATE BY DESIGNATING THE CLUB YOU WILL BE PLAYING FOR AND PAY THE ADDITIONAL MEMBERSHIP FEE TO A FULL MEMBERSHIP

Complete the AAU membership registration through AAU. Sign-up for a 1-year
Choose appropriate option
Youth Athlete Fees: $14.00 or $16.00
Adult Athlete Fees: $14.00 to $39.00
The AAU Membership year runs from September 1, 2021 to August 31, 2022.
Please Note: An AAU membership will be required for participation in spike activities or events

- 18 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2003 OR Players who were born on or after July 1, 2002 and a high school student in the twelfth (12th) grade or below during some part of the current academic year
- 17 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2004
- 16 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2005
- 15 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2006
- 14 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2007
- 13 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2008
- 12 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2009

Q: I can’t make it to your tryout date, will there be other opportunities to tryouts?
A: Register for the make_up date session currently listed on tryout dates. If those days and times are not feasible, please contact the club administration.
Q: Can my daughter “play up” in age group?
A: Yes, players will be allowed to play up in an age group, however a maximum of 2 age difference.
Q: Will you make offers at tryouts?
A: Yes, verbal offers will be made at practice, however a written offer will be sent out as well with the expectation of the player acceptance of the offer within 48 hours.
Q: If an offer is not given at tryouts, does that mean I didn’t make it?
A: No not at all. Sometime we would like to see all of the potential players within an age group before an offer is made.
Q: Will I be notified if I DON’T make a team?
A: Yes, all potenial players will be notified of their status. If you did not make the one of the travel teams, additional play options and training will be provided to you. Spike-It offers a variety of opportunities to enhance skills and compete.
Q: Can I get my tryout money back if I don’t make a team?
A: Tryout fees is not refundable as we have to pay for court rental and our coaches' time.
Q: What time should I arrive before tryouts and what should I bring with me?
A: It’s recommended to be at tryouts 15 minutes before the scheduled time. Pre-registration and tryout fee is required prior to your arrival to have a secured slot and expedite the check in process.
